Just starting to explore this Branch. I am 99% sure this is the correct branch for the following reasons:
- My Great Great Grandparents, Charles Mellott and Rhoda C Hill were married November 16, 1886 in Pratt, Kansas; Rhoda's age is listed as 20 which would make her birth 1866.001
- Rhoda Hill daughter of John Q & Cassander Hill was enumerated in the 1885 Kansas State Census on March 1, 1885 in Pratt; Rhoda's age is listed as 19 which would make her birth 1866.002
- I could not find any other Rhoda Hill's in Pratt, Kansas.

Dr. James A Hill born August 12, 1804 was the son of Joseph Hill and Jane Atkinson;004,028 he died in 1865.028
Elizabeth Medley004 born about 1803032 or 1808033 or 1813029 was the daughter of John L Medley and Ann Atwood.028
Atkinson Hill and Elizabeth Medley were married in about January of 1829 in Bardstown, Nelson, Kentucky; their marriage bond was filed January 12, 1829.031 James and Elizabeth had 10 children.028

The Hill Brothers in the Civil War
According to a write-up on William S B Hill in the book Confederate Military History, Volume IX: "His brother and comrade, James A. Hill, gave his life for the cause at Murfreesboro. Another brother, John Q. Hill, was a soldier on the Federal side, in the Fourth Indiana cavalry."004 So, did the Hill Brothers fight against each other in the Civil War? From what I can tell No; John's Regiment was ordered to Murfreesboro in January of 1863 but after his brother James had already died.
There is two amazing write-ups on William S B Hill in the Civil War: the aforementioned Confederate Military History, Volume IX004 with also includes a picture which can be seen here and "About to Kill His Friend" in History of the Orphan Brigade.024c
