Sekova No. 59 Distortion Box

Sekova number 59 distortion box schematic

Update May 2023: Chuck Mahoney traced this pedal and found an error in my schematic. I replaced my schematic with his.

Note negative supply voltage, and "emitters up" orientation, as is conventional when drawing germanium fuzz circuits.  The 1µF? and 1.2µF? caps were measured out of circuit with a cheap meter and the values show are what the meter displayed.  The 1nF? cap appeared to have ".001" written on it.  Voltages are the actual ones taken from the unit with a fresh 10V battery (one of those Danelectro "standard"/non-Alkaline batteries that read 10V when new).

FA-II (Later version)

This pedal is in a metal (chrome?) wedge enclosure, basically looking like a shiny metal Maestro Fuzz Tone FZ-1.  I assume the obtuse model name "FA-II" is a nod to the "FZ-1" name.  As far as I know this only appears on the circuit board and was advertised as a "Distortion Box, Model No. 59."  The earlier Distortion Box appears to be a straight FZ-1A copy.

The FA-II is quite different.  The most odd feature is the node connected to ground via a 100Ω resistor.
