Noise + S/H + Counter

NOISE

5 types of noise are available:

-White

-Red (-6dB/Oct low pass filtered)

-Blue (technically should be labelled "Purple", -6dB/Oct high pass filtered)

-Grainy (noise filtered through a window comparator!)

-Blue Grainy (grainy + -6dB/Oct high pass)

Pink noise is -3dB/Oct low pass, and true blue noise would be -3dB/Oct high pass. Neither are available here. Maybe another noise module will include more colors.

Also part of the NOISE section is the "RAND" trigger output. A knob increases the frequency of the triggers.

SAMPLE/HOLD

Input with attenuator is sampled at a CV controllable rate (sync available as well). CV output, CV output with lag, and the clock is available as an output too.

COUNTER

The MFOS Noise Cornucopia has a CD4024 binary counter on board for a "random gate" output. The random trigger feature mentioned above is an internal function in the MFOS project that drives the outputs of the CD4024. I brought all of the 4024 output to the panel in addition to the clock input and put in some transistor logic to add some CV control over the counting functions.

Like any binary counter, it can be used as a divider. A VCO square wave input will output sub octaves. A clock signal can be divided. Keyboard gates can advance (and stop) the clock. The random triggers can still be patched in for a "random gate" feature.
