A Chopped Odyssey
What do you do when some has chopped off their Arp Odyssey's keyboard, but now they want to sell it? The big hole in the front doesn't help the sale, so a block of wood, stained to closely resemble the color of the side panel, comes to the rescue!
So if you're tired of your Odyssey's keyboard sticking out all the time, there is a solution!
This was a relatively easy task. My local hardware/lumber store cut the wood to my exact dimensions and the drum tech at the music store applied the stain for me.
I didn't finish the job completely though. As pictured, the front "rail" of metal doesn't attach to the case. I wanted to figure out a nice way to screw it shut, but the customer didn't care. He was fine with just the block of wood and didn't need the top completely secure.
