PAiA MIDI2CV8

I purchased one MIDI2CV8 kit and made a panel to match my modular. Instead of the standard 3.5mm jacks and DIP piano switches, I'm using my usual banana jacks and mini toggles.

I have another MIDI2CV8 I acquired second hand, and I have yet to make a panel for it.

I did not require changing MIDI channels, so I left this module hardwired for CH. 1. The mode is selected via 3 mini toggles. The MIDI2CV8 hardware has no lag or portamento circuitry, I added a pad per hole board with Ray Wilson's dual lag generator (from the MFOS multi function module) built in. Any CV can be patched into either the linear or RC lag circuit.

The MIDI2CV8 not only has 8 CV outputs, but 8 transistor switch outputs (S-Trig) as well. These can work LEDs, or relays, or the old style Moog S-Trig gates. In my current unit, I just wired up one jack for S-Trig, and made a banana to Cinch Jones cable. I may try to utilize this feature more on my next build.
