Memorize Formulas
I don't like the idea of memorizing formulas and would rather have students understand how to derive the formulas. State tests never give formulas and the time involved to derive the formula could be very time consuming so here are ways to memorize formulas.

Calculators
Generally I want students to use mental math rather than ue a calculator. There are some calculators we use frequently in class to visually see what an equation looks like and to check work
