Math Master!

Practice solving various problems in focused middle school math concepts at the level I am at to master the math concept.   I cannot move on to another section or problem if I answered incorrectly.  If I have problems with my computer click on the links again to restart the section rather than refresh the page!  I must save my work and answers in case I do not finish each section!  Any work I do here is not graded!  it is to help me understand these concepts better. Work is not saved in each section I work on until I submit your work.  It is to help understand these concepts better.  The most important math I will do in middle school and high school is algebra and solving equations.   I study algebra because algebra helps me do any type of work more quickly and efficiently .  This is why the focus is on solving equations.   To solve equations it is important to understand number systems and patterns because if I don't understand arithmetic I cannot do math.

8th Grade Ready

7th Graders need to learn the following to be ready for 8th grade.

Priority 1. Number System and Patterns

Priority 2.  Order of Operations, Expression and Basic Equations

To solve more complicated equations which involve fractions, decimals (will add fractions and decimals later - 1/8/2021 Update), combining like terms parentheses and exponents we will initially focus on the Equation Solver Master  which focuses on:

Priority 2. Part 2.  Coordinate Graph

Priority 3. Proportions

Priority 4.  Volume

Priority 5.  Inequalities

Priority 6. Angles

Priority 7.Statistics and Probability

Challenge Problems

High School Ready

8th Graders need to learn the following to be ready for high school.

Priority 1.  Equation Solver Master

To solve more complicated equations which involve fractions, decimals (will add fractions and decimals later - 6/1/2021 Update), combining like terms parentheses and exponents we will initially focus on the Equation Solver Master  which focuses on:

Priority 2. y =mx +b or Slope Intercept Form Master

Understand the relationships between scenarios, tile patterns, tables, graphs and rules as I solve equations.  As I understand the connections between the different representations I truly understand y= mx +b (slope intercept form) and standard form.

Priority 3. Numbers and Patterns

Numbers and patterns should be understood before I start 8th grade.  If I don't understand this section well then this section must be understood before starting Priority 1.

Priority 4. Exponents

Priority 5. Angles and Pythagorean Theorem

Priority 6.  Volume

Priority 7. Transformations
