Mark Vega - Projects

If I have completed the pretest with a grade of 90% or greater, and have at least an A- on all my tests, and I have completed all sections from the Master Math section then I am ready to work on projects. I will then work on the project of my choice after completing the CAASP state math test.

Almost every project involves some type of engineering and engineering expertise (see a small sample of the different types of engineers).

Most projects focus on disruptive innovation. Almost every disruptive innovation focuses on new markets, networks or ideas that are changing or displacing existing markets

You will select from the below areas of interest or create your own:

Animation and Virtual Reality.

Why? Create rich and powerful experiences. Create animations that can be used to better understand math concepts or create your own stuff, your own metaverse.

Biotechnology.

Why? Provides the ability to fight viruses, cure genetic defects and protect our bodies and minds.

Computer Programming and Artificial Intelligence.

Why? Computer programming drives not only artificial intelligence but also every other project. Artificial intelligence is built on algebra. Because algebra gives you speed and efficiency.

Robotics.

Why? Robotics is changing the way workplaces and homes function because they are changing the world both physically and digitally. Increase creativity with engineering disciplines using Lego Mindstorms

3D Printing.

Why? Create objects that solve real world problems. Various industries are transitioning manufacturing processes to 3D printing. We are going to focus on printing using additive manufacturing instead of subtractive (removing material) machining. Find something you can use in the classroom to teach math or create something brand new

Personal Finance.

Why? To build life skills to make and manage money. The true focus is on money and exponential thinking. All students should understand the power of 7. For example, how to double your money every 10 years and the vehicles to do it.

Personal finance is not an disruptive innovation. It is here because because having money gives greater flexibility to pursue opportunities.

Music Production, Creation and Performance.

Why? Just because it is fun.

Until the Ableton software recording system is delivered we will use Soundtrap.

Electronics

Why? Electronics is what makes things move . Learn to improve and/or reengineer the devices and systems we use every day.

Video Editing

Google Movie Studio video editor acts as a movie maker to create, edit and record videos, and mix videos, audios, images and texts. It is an app to make movies, record videos, edit videos, modify them using another videos you can import. MovieStudio also allows to add audios, images, and texts into your movies and videos.
