Torah, Thank you and More!

This week's parasha, Noah, has special meaning for me as it was my daughter's parasha for her Bat Mitzvah. Her D'var Torah included what it might have been like for her grandparents to be on a boat from Europe and landing in a country where it may have sounded like all the languages heard at the building of the Tower of Babel!!

Parashat Noah:

While the flood wreaks great destruction, life is preserved in Noah's Ark. God establishes a covenant: Never again to destroy the earth. The generations of Noah's descendants flourish. They build the Tower of Babel to pierce the heavens. God thwarts their efforts by confounding 'the language of all the earth' and scattering it inhabitants.

Sim Shalom Siddur

For the past year, I have been sending a summary of the Parashot Hashavut, the Portion of the Week, from the SimShalom Siddur (Prayer Book) A new source will now be used as another source for the summary.

Once again, I would like to thank everyone who pitched in to help for the High Holiday Service and all those who attended. Also, the Sukkot Service at the Fisher home was very meaningful for those who attended was a very meaningful one.
