The earthquake in Nepal is front page news. The devastation and human suffering is widespread and many in our community want to help in some way. The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington has set up a Nepal Relief Fund to help. 100% of all funds donated will be sent to partners on the ground in Nepal, to be distributed as needed.

Thank you,

Rabbi Saltzman

THE JEWISH FEDERATION OF GREATER WASHINGTON

RESPONDS WITH IMMEDIATE SUPPORT

FOR CRITICAL NEEDS IN NEPAL

Yesterday, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal killed thousands and caused wide spread mass destruction. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families as well as all of the rescue and relief workers and medical personnel on the ground addressing this dire emergency. In response to the crisis, The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington has set up a Nepal Relief Fund to provide immediate support for the most critical and urgent needs identified. We will work with Jewish Federations of North America to swiftly distribute 100% of all contributions received.

Currently many of The Federation's overseas partners are on the ground assessing the situation and addressing the needs of disaster victims.

The Jewish Federation and our community has always been there for those facing dire situations as a result of an unexpected natural disaster. In times like this, our enduring commitment to tikkun olam and gemilut chasadim implore us to be there once again.

To support the recovery effort, click here to make an on-line donation or checks can be sent (made payable to) The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, 6101 Executive Blvd, North Bethesda, Maryland 20852. Please indicate "Nepal Relief Fund" on all checks.

Thank you for joining us in sending prayers, resources, and good wishes to all those impacted by the earthquake in Nepal.
