Walnut Chili Mac

INGREDIENTS DIRECTIONS

3⁄4C 1 Tbsp 1⁄2C 1⁄2lb 3⁄4C 2C 1 Can 1 Can

Elbow macaroni, small Canola oil

Onion, chopped

Ground beef, lean California walnuts, chopped Salsa

Chili beans, seasoned (15.5 oz) Chiles, green (4 oz)

Shredded cheese and sliced green onions (optional toppings)

1. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain well.

2. In a large saucepan heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, beef and walnuts. Cook for 5 minutes until brown, stirring frequently.

3. Stir in salsa, beans and chiles. Bring to a boil then cover and simmer over low heat for

30 minutes.

4. Stirindrainedpastaandcookafewminutes more to heat through. Serve with cheese and green onions, if desired.
