The article Native American Identity by Perry G Horse was very interesting. I liked the key points about how “ American Indian” and “ Native American'' are two different things. I also liked when Mr/Mrs Horse was talking about sovereignty and how individual tribes are truly the one government they have to listen to. In a way also I connect to it because I am Indigenous.

This article is Paradigm Wars by Jeannette Armstrong was a very deep article. She is talking about what the Okanagan people's purpose is in the world. She talks about her tradition and culture throughout the article. She also talks about the word Okanagan and what it means in her language.

I think this is a helpful resource because it is talking about making our state more involved in climate change. It pertains to me because I am trying to bring change to the climate change problem. This bill if it is passed it would greatly increase our contribution to climate change in our state. It would also make New mexico a green and more eco friendly state that is willing to do something for climate change.

Big industrial farms and fields have been doing a lot of work since the pandemic has started. Even though the co2 emission numbers gone down, they are slowly going back up again. But I found it interesting that a jar of peanut butter went up from $13 to $16-19$ in a year. But the climate during the pandemic time actually went down 6% because some big industrial factories shut down for a bit.

I found this particular video very interesting. Being that I have been doing farming and ranching my whole life, she was talking about how to double all yield which everybody wants. There are some was to increase yield but not permanently. For my action plan, my mentor had shared with me an idea about sharecropping within my community. So I thought about watermelons twice the size they are in grocery stores.

This article is a helpful resource because it goes way back then to when somebody first began to notice change in the climate. It also talks about other people who discovered or proved that the climate was changing. For example the article states “John Tyndall – Irish physicist, Fellow of the Royal Society, and spectacular Victorian-era beard-with-no-mustache kind of guy – added detail to Fourier’s concept of the warming atmosphere. In particular, he found evidence showing that it was water vapor and carbon dioxide that trapped heat in the atmosphere.” This is really key in my topic because it talks about how he proved climate change by doing an experiment to prove it.

The article pertains to me because I am focusing on climate change and this agreement played a big part in trying to find a solution, or a breakthrough for climate change. It also gives information about how Obama first brought it up and had it created. It also has some information on how Donald Trump took the United States out of the Paris agreement.

Climate change is happening faster than we thought. If there is not enough moisture then nobody will have the ability to grow or produce any type of crop. There has been an increase in wildfires across the country and it is just fueling for more co2 emissions in the air currently.
California has been experiencing drought for a really long time. But this year it is getting more worse with people not being able to use water how they used to be before. There is now a schedule where people can only water there lawns for one day when before you could do it whenever you wanted to. They are coming up with new ways to conserve water by recycling waste water and building more rain water catchments to help with the drought.
Seagrass is really helping absorb the co2 in the atmosphere even though it is underwater. It is a resource that can combat climate change because it does not need fresh water and it does not need pesticides or fertilizers to keep it going. Their roots are very hard to decompose including the ryziomes. It is a self-sustaining organism and there are ways of harvesting the seed and planting them elsewhere in the ocean floor.
We should speak about this topic because it has a lot of meaning behind it. In order to have a voice you have to have a way of using it. By acquiring a way to use your voice and find the power within yourself you can become really powerful with your voice. By using my voice and others regarding climate change people might change their perspective and their view about this topic. There will be some that don't agree with it but there is only one way that we can help out our mother earth.
