In the article "Native American Identity" when the grandma is talking about them not doing our Native tradition and to me its like living in two world that's what we always hear even our parents and grandparents hear that etc... but it is important that they tell us that because we do or as they say "do as the white man says" but it trying to get across to us is that to be proud of who you are and embrace it and learn from it because once you do it make sense and you can understand what is happening around you.
The article was more of a description of "Sharing ones skin" was about a community and how important it was, how it was connecting language. how without that is it part of the Okanagan that it is even with the land the animals. She has an emotional connection with her people that without language your a heart less person sounded like.

In the article, “The Case for Dual Language Programs as a Future of Public Education, Werblow states, “The U.S. spends far more on education than any other country in the world (OECD, 2011); yet, continues to produce vastly inequitable outcomes, especially for English Learners (ELs).’(2) The article also states that if a school community doesn’t embrace the native language of their students, they will begin to lose their language and culture within two to three years. Webelos talks about how schools are finding that your native language is more of a positive than a negative. School systems have used terms such as Limited English Proficient (LEP) and English Learners (EL) and now are starting to use terms like “Dual Language Learner” (DL) and “Multiple Language Learner” (ML) to focus on the positive.
There in California the department of education (2019) states regarding (EL’s) there are many programs and services to help students who do not speak, read, write or understand english well as a result of english not being their home language skills of ( EL’s) students. Traditional bilingual English and native language, that there is a lack of English being taught. There are people who would rather have their native language first than english which is great, but to some it is difficult to learn English. There are so many programs that help with that speech.

In this broadcast it talks about how they learned the language back then to now. She first starts off by talking about getting hit in the classroom and being bragged to the school by her dad and would be scared to sit in the classroom with a mean teacher and for them not to say the language and live in two worlds mostly. Then she goes on by saying when your first born all they will do is speak the language to you but since the boarding school changed their ways it has been hard for the young kids to learn the language. Next it about the hopi boy who knows fluent hopi and she says that he was forced to learn hopi because of his parents and that there is a big difference because it is harder when they force you to learn a language because your older other than it being taught to you as a baby and that the native language was first language you learn ur native language.

The second article was about how people are taught the language. She goes on by saying that there are many ways to learn the language because she was the first one to be learning about the language since she was born because that how the olds ways are until the dorms came ot school came by and they had to learn the english language and how they do it in the white men's worlds. She goes on and says that she regretted teaching her kids the English language first but should have done the old ways. One of her kids wanted to ask her how to say some words in the hopi language. She says to her kid which people in your age group really know the language and how fluent they are. There was a kid that know the hopi language but he was force to do it his parents force him so there is a difference because when being taught little it is easier to learn but when being a little older it gets hard because you have to train your brain to learn another language and it also has a big part to do with identity because without identity who are you.
