Have you heard of Blackpool’s Resilience Pathway?
Well if you haven’t, where have you been?
This is the story of how a mixed bag of enthusiastic young Resilience Revolutionaries, supported by a keen but ‘slightly’ older bunch of no less enthusiastic adults, created a world first here in Blackpool.
A challenge was set in the summer of 2017 to build all 42 of the Resilient Moves from the Resilience Framework (adapted from the work of Hart & Blincow with Thomas) as an innovative art installation. It would take centre stage in Blackpool’s re-generation plans for the town centre.
The project was led by our young people, and co-production was at its heart. To hear more about how we got on, and our vision for Blackpool’s Resilience Revolution in the future come and join us.
I’m Karen Sweet, and I’ve got the dubious pleasure of presenting this Keynote Speech with a few fantastic members of the Resilience Pathway group. I’m the Project Officer for the Resilience Revolution, based at HeadStart HQ, but more importantly a new recruit to the brave new world of co-production.
