Good News from Norbreck

Norbreck Primary has been part of the Academic Resilience Approach for a year now. They have undergone resilience training, audited the school’s resilience and implemented their resilience action plan. In fact, most of their targets have been achieved. Well done Norbreck!

The staff and students are determined to ensure Norbreck is a resilient school where everyone can flourish.

Following on from their successful Innovation Fund bid, Rory the therapy dog has arrived!

Rory has passed his training and is already working with the children.

He is also undertaking advanced training as we speak! As well as the excitement about Rory, the Innovation Fund has also allowed them to start planning an exciting new building in the playground. A summerhouse will provide a space for children and young people who are not keen on the hustle and bustle of a busy playground. This new space will be aptly named “The Retreat” and will encourage plenty of resilient moves.

So well done Norbreck, I feel a story book idea forming in my head… Rory and the Resilience Retreat!
