A COMMUNITY APPROACH

The Resilience Revolution is taking a community development approach.  This means we recognise and value the expertise within our Blackpool community, and so the community is at the heart of everything we do.

There are a range of ways in which we are working together:

Community Engagement – attending and running events across Blackpool to spread the word about the Resilience Revolution.  Sometimes this links to national campaigns such as ‘Mental Health Awareness Week’,  to give people interested in the revolution and a chance to find out more.

Collective Action – coming together with like minded individuals and groups to influence decision makers and shape how things are done.  We are involved in a range of campaign groups seeking to use collective action to seek change.

Organisational Development – combining our understanding of resilience, with what organisations across Blackpool are doing really well, we acknowledge what is already happening to support resilience, and identify what else we can do to go one step further.  The Resilience Revolution aims to promote a common language and common approach.
