VOLUNTEER

There are heaps of opportunities to volunteer in Blackpool.  Many organisations promote their own opportunities, and we are also lucky to have Blackpool Volunteer Centre who provide a gateway to a wide range of roles across the town.

The Resilience Revolution itself has a number of volunteer roles that we are really keen to recruit more people to!

Friend for Life

A unique role which matches an adult friend with a young person (aged 10, 11 or 12yrs) who is looked after by the local authority (Our Children).  This role is so unique it deserves its own website page! Find more and watch some videos of adult friends and young people talking about this amazing approach.

Resilience Champion

A role that will play an active part in spreading the word about the Resilience Revolution! The aim is to engage with community members and organisations within their current networks, and to help them think about using the Resilience Framework in their day to day lives and practice.

Youth Engagement

A role that will support and assist with the delivery of the co-production work within the core Resilience Revolution activity, and which will ensure that the views and opinions of children and young people are represented throughout the programme.

Co-trainer

A role that will co-design and co-deliver a range of training courses to parents and carers, practitioners, community members and schools.

Peer Support

This role is designed to allow people to use their own experiences to support parents and carers who may require a little extra support, this can be through befriending, mentoring or as part of a group.
