How can we collect, organize, analyze and interpret sets of data?
Innovative activities will engage students in writing and conducting surveys, creating hypothesis tests, and analyzing the collected data. Key topics covered will be measures of central tendency, best ways to display data, lying with statistics, descriptive vs. inferential statistics, correlation of data, and curve fitting. The course relies heavily on the use of technology for data analysis.
