How is a documentary created and produced?
This course is designed to provide students with opportunities to expand their skills in research, writing, speaking, and videography while experiencing the challenges and opportunities of broadcast production. Addressing technical and creative concerns, students will study pre-production, production and postproduction storytelling through Adobe Premiere software and digital video cameras. Students will work independently as well as in group production teams to select topics of interest, produce documentaries, music videos, talk shows, and many other live tv shows. Students may enter their work in a variety of local, state and national contests celebrating the students hard work and dedication. Due to the emphasis on trust, collaboration, and independent field work, the teacher and school counselor reserve the right to consult with administration regarding course placement.
