How do personal and cultural needs influence the production of work?
This course is intended for the dedicated potter that is looking to take their creations to the next level. Students will be expected to create larger scale pieces that depict a higher level of craftsmanship through careful planning and refinement. Students will learn to combine handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques within their pieces. Each student will assume responsibility for their behavior and daily classroom routines (cleaning, loading kilns, and recycling clay). A sketchbook will be required for this class and all projects will be assessed.
