Scratchboard

This piece is a scratchboard scratched into a photo of my cat. I chose this photo because I love the way she looks angry and also it had a full scale of value.

Value was obviously important and it took a long time to get it just right. Pattern was also important with the fur.

If I could do this piece again, I would pay closer attention to the highlights and the values
