Mixed Media

This piece is based off of a photo of my cousin's cat. I chose this particular design because I liked the range of value and the pattern of the fur and the wood. I made this piece out of mainly charcoal and ink, with some graphite mixed in as well.

It took a lot of work to get the values just right, seeing as charcoal is a fairly difficult media to work with.

If I were to redo this piece, I would be sure to make it neater, as well as neaten up the sky behind the cat.
