Fungus on Log
This piece is a couple of toadstools and four mushrooms on top of a fallen log with a shrubbery background. I used bright colors as the fungus and tried to make the background and log more basic colors to draw the eye towards the plants.
This piece is made of watercolor and ink. I chose watercolor because I like how it creates gentle texture that you can only see when looking closely.
Originally, this piece was just going to be the toadstools, but then I added the mushrooms on top because I felt it wasn't quite enough color.
