1. The card I had was to draw a tree that grows socks and shoes. It is set outside I tried to incorporate this by drawing the grass strokes. I started by drawing the tree trunk and worked my way up, before I drew any of the socks or shoes I made the lines that were supposedly grass. I used graphite to create this drawing. I chose the card that said to draw this because i thought it would be more interesting than the other option. I centered the tree to give the drawing balance and to show that the tree was the center or most important part of my drawing.

2. I used informal balance with my tree because I didn't measure out the distance from each side to make sure it was exactly even but I wanted the illusion that the tree was centered. I revised my lines if I didn't like how they looked and I changed some of the socks or shoes so each one was different.

3. I used pattern and informal balance to make everything a little bit even. The story I made up for this drawing is that someone left their socks and shoes outside one day and forgot to bring them inside, so eventually they sank into the ground and a tree grew. This theme was very funny and I guess I consider myself funny sometimes. If I could change anything it would be that I would add a background, such as clouds, the sky or other trees.
