Independently Designed

1. The subject of this creation (bottom picture) is a dark, gloomy scene where you can see the top of a person's head while they are disappearing over a hill, where they are walking is a beautiful sunset and the footprints they left behind are turning the snow into grass. I made this artwork by sketching what I wanted to do with graphite, then painted the rest. I based where the sunset and trees were off of the hills, so it was more even.

2. I used color and balance along with painting to create this and give the effect I wanted. My project evolved from the original painting/drawing that is seen in the first image. After I was finished creating that one, my original idea, I decided I wanted to change it. It had not come out the way I had envisioned it to look. I then came up with the idea that became my final product.

3. The meaning behind this artwork is to show how the person in this specific piece is warm, and good and brings light to a dark place. This project relates to my life because I changed the idea to the final one which came out much better in my opinion. If I could change one thing about this artwork it would be to make the landscape more in depth and make a whole person, with a shadow to make the meaning more obvious.
