pure contour drawing

1. the subject of this creation is to show 3 different views of a shoe, just like people who design shoes for companies. the subject of the hand drawing was to show what parts were closest by using dark and light lines to create definition. I used pencil to start with both drawings, following this I created a background for the hand with colored pencil and I used a darker lead to make the shoe angles more bold. I decided to put the hand with the rubber band in space because I thought it was different and added a lot of detail. I placed the side view of the shoe on the bottom and the top and front views on the top because they were similar while the side view was different.

2. I tried to make each drawing as realistic and life-size as I could. I started off with light and feathery pencil marks and finished with thicker and darker lines to finalize the drawings. I changed the lines on the hand to make it look more complete and I revised how many planets I had in the background.

3. the meaning behind this artwork would be how it shows different aspects of me and every person because you are incorporating shoes you own and your own hand. This project relates to my life because I used a pair of shoes I have done a lot of fun things in and I added lots of detail from my own hands and made it mine by creating the background I did.
