Snow Hanger

Artist Statement:

• For this picture was for the project "Photographic Intent." This project was a little difficult to photograph. I wasn't exactly sure what to do, I wanted to mainly aim for the the barren, rule of thirds, calm mood type picture, but it also it has a kind of still life mood. To compose this picture a simply grabbed a coat hanger and placed it sideways in a snow pile. I placed myself on an angle down type angle pointing his camera up. I had my f-stop on 1.4 to get the background a nice blur, and give a good selective focus picture. While editing, I gave the photo a little blue tint filter, and sharpened it up as well. I also turned the brightness a bit down to give the calmer feeling, instead of a brighter picture. I took about four or five of these same photos, but some were too dark or to cropped. Here is my final photograph.
