For the perspective drawings I made three total drawings. Perspective drawings are drawings made around one specific point—the vanishing point. The vanishing point is the point where everything vanishes and it is on the horizon line. The horizon line is what would be eye level in my line of sight, so everything above it appears to slant down and everything below the horizon line seems to slant up. The three drawings I made were of ten boxes; a room with chairs, a table, a couch etc; and a hallway in the high school.
For the drawing of ten boxes, I first made the horizon line and in the middle of that line I made the vanishing point. Next, I drew light lines of each box. I did so by making them a certain length while they still pointed towards the vanishing point. Notice that all the boxes above the horizon line look like they are pointing down, and all the boxes below the horizon line are pointing up. That is because they all point towards the vanishing point. After making the light lines, I darkened them when I was confident in their form and shape and felt they all were accurately pointing towards the vanishing point. For the drawing of the room, I first made the vanishing point by making two diagonal lines from opposite corners of the piece of paper. By doing that I found the exact center of the page. After that I lightly drew the back wall and then the vertical lines of the floor. Next I made the horizontal lines of the floor to make the floor look like it was made of tiles. Then I started to make the objects in the room lightly, making sure that all vertical lines were pointing towards the vanishing point. After making all of the objects (two chairs, two recessed lights, an open doorway, a couch, a table, a rug, and four Windows) I darkened them all using pencil when I felt good about there shape. After that I added some detail like the trees and front porch outside of the house. For the drawing of the hallway I started by finding the center pint of the paper and making that my vanishing point. Next I made the backward lightly. Then I started making some of the details of the hallway like the door the tiles and the walls. After making those lightly, I made the ceiling. After I was confident in the shape of the hallway, and thought all the lines were pointing towards the vanishing point I darkened them.
The reason I made some of the boxes in the first picture on top of each other was because I wanted to make the drawing a little more interesting than just having 10 separated boxes. I decided to put almost an even amount of boxes on top and below the horizon line was because I wanted to show good balance in the drawing. I also tried to put even amount of the boxes on either side of the drawing to show balance too. I also wanted to create a good sense of balance in the drawing of the room, so that was why I didn't just put everything on one side of the room. I put the table and chairs on the left and the couch on the right side of the room. The reason I decided to put in most of the hallway in the third image was because I wanted to include the most detail possible.
