LEGO SPIKE PRIME and EV3 Lego Mindstorm materials provide a multi-sensory learning experience in building, designing and coding moving robots, to prepare students for a 21st Century workforce.
Unit 1: Invention Squad: Students will apply engineering design skills to the design process by defining a problem, testing procedures, and improving their solutions.
Unit 2: Kickstart a business: Students will develop effective problem-solving skills by decompsing problems into smaller parts. Students will use pseudocode, analyze existing code and recognize patterns to identify and fix bugs.
Unit 3: Life Hacks: Programming variables and data Students will create variables and lists to perform basic math operations. Learn how to make cloud data useful and design projects that combine hardware and software to collect and exchange data.
Unit 4: Competition Ready: Build, design, and code a robot using multiple motors, and sensors to accomplish missions and tasks on the First Lego League Challeng mat.
