CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

GRADING CATEGORIES:

Art Projects / Creativity = 50%
Particpation Points, Following Rules / Communication & Collaboration = 25%
Sketchbook Skillbuilders / Critical Thinking = 25%

ART VALUES:

A - AIM to try your best, use your mind, hands, & heart for art, and do the right thing.
R- RESPECT yourself, others, our on-line community.
T- TRUST your ability to learn, that art is a safe place and that mistakes help us grow!

-DAILY ART LEARNING EXPECTATIONS & PARTICIPATION POINTS-

1. Arrive to class on time (with my supplies) ready to learn & grow.

2. Listen for when the teacher asks for my attention.

3. Work on task for the entire class period with an ART focus.

4. Use appropriate language & safe actions at all times.

5. Clean up our Art Studio with my table group & help other groups when finished.

Students earn 5 points per day = 25 points per week = 25% of quarterly grade

-ART REMINDERS for POSITIVE & NEGATIVE BEHAVIOR CONSEQUENCES-
Purple Level - Hawk Pride: Student goes above and beyond to help others/the art room & earns a reward.

Green Level - Ready to Learn: Student is ready for instruction, working toward expectations/objectives & earns the priviledge of using art materials.

Yellow Level - Verbal Reminder, teacher gives quick reminder & student is given an opportunity to reset & refocus.

Orange Level - Verbal Reminder + Teacher Action (ex. move seat, or take a walk/break,
or hallway discussion of expectations).

Red Level - Verbal Warning + Teacher Action (ex. Parent phone call home, or include principal, or incident report)
