MMS CHORUS PERFORMS
NATIONAL ANTHEM at UNH HOCKEY!
30 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade members of our CHORUS came to sing the National Anthem at the UNH Men's Hockey final season game on March 4, 2022. It was an honor and privilege to sing on this occasion. We all want to thank Principal Creech, Assistant Principal Fillion, the UNH staff, and all of our 100 family and friends who supported us in attendance. What a terrific performance!

Our Grade Seven and Eight Chorus is heading to the Augusta Maine State House to present their learning of their year-long composing project, Bridging Adolescence: A River Flows Through Us. Students will give the background on the project, "The River Sings Its Song", explain the learning and skills involved to create an original piece of choral music, and share a performance of their piece. Many thanks to the Maine Arts Commission for inviting us to their Excellence in Arts Education in Maine reception. We are all excited to share our learning with members of the Maine Legislature and First Lady Ann LePage. Special thanks to the Marshwood Education Foundation for their support of our project to create this curriculum and the opportunity to teach this to a state-wide audience.
This second video is our full presentation at the State House that was recorded by Mrs. Mimi Abell, Marshwood Education Foundation board member. We sincerely thank her for capturing this amazing opportunity.
Above is the youtube link from Maine Arts Commission of our abbreviated presentation at the Capitol, at left, the Maine Arts Commission post (Dec. 13 & 14) of our work. Thank you to Argy Nestor and Ryan.
