Class Description
This class is a beginning language class where students will get a 'sneak peak' of what will be learned in the first months of the Spanish 1 course. This course covers basic salutations and general questions, colors/shapes, numbers, days/months, seasons and weather, family members and animals, and classroom objects. A primary objective is for students to leave with the ability to hold a simple conversation with a Spanish-speaker and to give and ask for basic information. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of and value in learning Spanish, how we often see and hear Spanish in English, where Spanish is spoken, and how the various cultures of the Spanish-speaking world are different from and similar to each other and ours.
