Class Description
This class is a required Allied Arts course for all 7th graders. Students will learn to listen, speak, read and write in French. They will be exposed to the basic elements of the language (word gender, adjective agreement, verb conjugation, and sentence structure), as well as pronunciation. They will engage in simple exchange of information about themselves (name, age, origin, birthdate, likes and dislikes, physical description, etc.) and get a beginning understanding of French and francophone culture. It is a great preview of what they will be learning in French I, either in Grade 8 or at MHS.
