We are absolutely delighted to announce that Redgate Community Primary School has successfully achieved the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Inclusive School Award!
The Inclusion Quality Mark is a nationally recognised award that celebrates schools demonstrating an exceptional commitment to inclusion, ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, abilities or individual needs, feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
Following a comprehensive assessment in October, our assessor praised the inclusive culture, nurturing ethos, dedicated staff and strong sense of belonging across Redgate, including our mainstream classes, Little Squirrels Nursery and The Pines specialist provision.
We are particularly proud of some of the wonderful comments shared in our report:
"The school has an unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of its pupils."
"Nurture is a defining strength of the school sitting alongside a strong and purposeful focus on educational outcomes."
"Pupils perceive The Pines and mainstream as one school, one big family."
"This culture of caring is quite exceptional. It is completely natural and normal at Redgate."
The assessor also described behaviour across the school as exemplary, praised our strong relationships with families and highlighted the exceptional support provided within The Pines.
Perhaps most excitingly, the assessor concluded:
"Redgate Primary School not only meets the standards required by the Inclusion Quality Mark but also deserves recognition as a Centre of Excellence for its outstanding inclusive provision."
This recommendation is an incredible achievement and something our whole school community should be immensely proud of.
A huge thank you to our wonderful children, dedicated staff, supportive families, governors and wider partners who make Redgate such a special place.
At Redgate, inclusion isn't simply something we do - it's who we are.
We Learn. We Collaborate. We Nurture. We Grow. We Are Safe.
