Dear Visitors,
Thank you for visiting our website. It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Redgate Community Primary School.
My name is Helen Gambon, and I am incredibly proud to have become Headteacher of Redgate in September 2026. Having been part of the Redgate community since 2015, I feel privileged to now lead a school that means so much to our children, families and staff.
Redgate is a happy, vibrant and truly inclusive school where we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our school values are at the heart of everything we do:

Our Redgate family begins with Little Squirrels Nursery, welcoming children from the age of two, and includes The Pines, our specialist resourced provision for 42 children with complex needs. Together, these provisions reflect our commitment to ensuring that every child is known, valued and supported to achieve their very best.
We are extremely proud of our dedicated and talented staff, who are the heartbeat of 'Team Redgate'. They have developed an ambitious, exciting and engaging curriculum that captures children's imaginations, builds confidence and inspires a lifelong love of learning.
We are also proud to be an award-winning school, with our Early Years team receiving the Pearson National Teaching Gold Award for Early Years Team of the Year in 2022 – a wonderful recognition of the passion and commitment that can be seen throughout our school.
As Headteacher, I am excited about the next chapter for Redgate. I am committed to building on our many strengths, working closely with our children, staff, families and wider community to ensure that Redgate continues to be a place where everyone can learn, grow and succeed.

Redgate's vision is to ensure we equip our children to be global citizens of the future. We strive to ensure that every child leaves at the end of Year 6 with no limits to where their ambitions can take them, our pupils to leave with a confidence and determination to be the very best person they can be. Our mission is to give each pupil a voice and the ability to perform to their highest potential, regardless of their starting point.
