HOW WE TEACH PE AT REDGATE
At Redgate Community Primary School we are athletes! We believe that all children should take a full, active part in sports and know how this relates to a healthy balanced lifestyle. Every child will leave our school physically literate, and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle.
Children's University
We are pleased to announce that we have signed our pupils up to the 'Children's University' programme.
Children will gain credits throughout the year by attending clubs inside and outside school.
If the pupils in year 2 and 6 gain enough credits they will attend a graduation service held at Edge Hill University. Pupils in other year groups will participate in an assembly and receive a certificate.
Each year the children's credits will roll over, allowing them to graduate with a higher achievement when they eventually enter a graduation year (year 2 and 6).
cOLLABORATION WITH FORMBY HIGH SCHOOL
Redgate children worked with the dance department at Formby High School to create this fantastic street dance.

We COLLABORATE
We have created a strong bond with our local high school Formby High. Every Thursday their PE teacher Mr Conchie works with our KS2 pupils. We collaborate to arrange high quality lessons, interform competitions and sporting events throughout the year. Mr Conchie sometimes brings sports leaders with him to support his lessons. Over the years we have noticed many familiar faces, it's lovely to see how our ex pupils are progressing in KS3.
