Known for her last popular song “What it is (Block Boy),” Doechii strikes again with her new album “Alligator Bites Never Heal.” It consists of nineteen songs. The most popular being “DENIAL IS A RIVER,” along with “NISSAN ALTIMA,” and “BOILED PEANUTS.” It’s been shared all over social media after her performance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert with each song gaining more and more popularity. This album has won Doechii her first Grammy for the best rap album nomination. Doechii’s music has become a long way for the Black female rappers of this generation.

"Boiled Peanuts," the album's third track, immediately establishes Doechii's unique artistic voice. The song is a vibrant, playful exploration of her Southern heritage, using the seemingly ordinary image of boiled peanuts as a metaphor for her roots and identity. Doechii’s ascent in the music industry is noteworthy. While many rappers rely heavily on established formulas, Doechii crafts a distinctive sound. Nissan Altima" offers a different perspective. It’s a boastful track celebrating success and independence. However, it avoids the cliché of materialism often prevalent in hip-hop. This focus on agency and self-determination resonates deeply with listeners, particularly young black women who often find limited representation of these themes in popular culture.
