You are to design and plan a physical activity mini-lesson for a small group of 10 year olds. The activity will be based on a type of physical activity of your choosing that will need to be approved by your teacher. A lesson template is attached to the task instructions.
You should use the Bibliography Format Guide for recording your sources of information.

A variety of factors motivate young people to play sport. Identifying these factors will assist you as a coach. Complete the table by giving an example for each motivation strategy.

Consider that: ‘Of all natural beings on earth, only humans are made in the 'image and likeness of God' (Gen 1:27).’ and this section being a presentation activity, you should take into account that Human beings have an intellect (to know things) and a will (to choose freely). Humans are truly happy when they share in the company of people. God has gifted humans the ability to think, so they know the truth (which is God) and the freedom to choose, so they choose to be charitable and love. These aspects of knowing and loving, is what makes people, 'in the image and likeness of God'.

Goals provide us with direction and are powerful motivators. Goal setting is an important part of our preparation, as it assists in the planning and monitoring of our progress. Having goals also increases our chances of persisting and motivating us to achieve our goals. Our goals must be realistic, provide a challenge and be able to be measured.
