Complete the Skeletal System Cloze Worksheet to record notes about the structure and function of the skeletal system.
Using the Skeletal System Diagram - Labelling:
Label the main bones of the human skeleton
See who can get the quickest time naming the bones and getting them all right
Record the scientific names for the listed common names of bones on a google doc titled "Scientific Names"
The teacher reads out a range of true or false statements and students have to identify whether or not the statement is true or false.
Students place their hands on their cranium for a true statement, and their hands on their gluteus maximus if it is a false statement
In groups, brainstorm the names of the muscles you know. The recorder writes down the responses.
Each group’s reporter, shares with the class three muscles from their list but cannot repeat any already named.
Discuss the outcomes and how much they already know about the names of muscles
