Mama Baker's Chicken Rolls in Wine Sauce
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded flat
12 slices boiled ham, sliced very thin
12 slices Swiss cheese, sliced very thin
1 c. flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. dried bread crumbs
8 T. butter
2 T A.1. Sauce
2 pkgs. Herb-Ox instant beef broth
1 c. water
1 c. dry white wine
Lay 2 slices of thin sliced ham and 2 slices of thin sliced cheese on each chicken breast and roll up, securing with toothpicks (or string). Roll each breast in flour, then beaten egg, and then bread crumbs. Place in glass baking dish. Melt butter in saucepan and add steak sauce, Worcestershire, beef broth, water and wine. Mix well and pour around breasts in dish. Bake for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven. Remove toothpicks and strain sauce before serving over chicken rolls.
