Dear JH & HS Tiger Families:
Welcome to March and to our last quarter of the school year! Lots is happening and will be happening. Please continue to check your email on a regular basis for all important updates and happenings.
3rd Quarter closed on Friday, March 6th. Final grades will be posted on Progressbook this Friday. Progressbook is a great way to stay on top of your child's grades throughout the year. If you need assistance with an account or logging in please reach out to us! We are happy to help.
State Testing: March is a great month to review important skills with your child and prepare for upcoming state testing in April. State testing will begin the week of April 13th. We will send out a more detailed schedule in the coming weeks. Attendance is crucial!
Scheduling for the 26-27 school year has begun and will continue in the coming weeks. This is a great conversation starter to have with your child to make some connections related to school and discover their interests.
The National Honor Society at NFHS will induct new members Friday, March 13th. The ceremony will begin at 9 am. We look forward to recognizing and honoring these who are the epitome of character and academics.
The NF Choir and Band will have performances at the end of this month. Be sure to check out what will undoubtedly be great shows. Tuesday, March 24th the choir will perform at 6:30 pm and the band will take the stage on Thursday, March 26th at 6:30 pm.
Spring sports are upon us! Track, softball and baseball are underway and NEW this spring is Girls Flag Football. Excited to see all the teams in action! Sunday, March 15th, Mr. Gross is hosting the "Ides of March Walk/Run". Be sure to check out the flier for all pertinent details!
Attention parents of 8th graders who will soon be our 9th graders! There will be a 9th Grade Orientation Meeting, Monday, March 16th @ 5:30 in the Commons to inform you of graduation requirements. If you have not had a graduate in recent years it is vital to attend. The state requirements have changed in recent years.
Seniors are heading into their final weeks as NF students! We need a baby picture or younger picture of them and a senior picture. Please email those to me.
