📝 State Testing Wrapping Up
State testing season is almost complete! We will finish testing during the first week of May with Science and 10th Grade History assessments.
We are incredibly proud of our students' efforts and their focus throughout this testing season — their hard work truly reflects the Tiger spirit! 🐅💪
🌟 Student Spotlight: Ellie Falb
Congratulations to Newton Falls Junior Ellie Falb, who was recently awarded the Congressional Award Silver Medal—a distinguished national honor recognizing initiative, service, and achievement! Ellie earned this prestigious award through her outstanding dedication to volunteer service, personal development, and goal-setting. We are so proud of Ellie for her leadership and positive impact both in and out of the classroom! 🥇👏
🏫 Celebrating Our Student Leaders & Teachers
In April, we proudly recognized our amazing student leaders during National School Leadership Week, and now we’re gearing up to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week from May 5–9! Please join us in thanking our incredible staff for their dedication and hard work in making Newton Falls such a special place for our students! 🍎✨
⚽ Spring Sports, Fall Signups & 2025 Class Scheduling
Spring sports are moving into the final stretch of their seasons — good luck to all our Tiger athletes as they finish strong! Fall sports signups will be sent directly to student emails soon. We will also begin scheduling classes for next school year after state testing concludes — click HERE to check out our HS scheduling presentation!
📢 JH/HS Parent Survey
Our annual PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Parent Survey is now open, and we’d love for you to take a few moments to complete it. The survey includes questions about the climate and culture of our school and your perceptions of the various PBIS initiatives we’ve implemented throughout the year. This survey should be completed only by parents/guardians. A separate survey will be sent out to our students! Your input plays a vital role in helping us evaluate what’s working and where we can grow. Most importantly, it guides our planning so we can better serve our students and families next school year. 📝 Please complete the survey by Friday, May 31st. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS SURVEY.

Congratulations to Lane Bever (HS) and Lillian Stiles (JH) for earning Students of the Month for May!

Students from SMASH / SADD organized and planned a school-wide event to promote safe and smart decisions so all of our students "Please Return on Monday." The students invited guest speakers and organizations to help promote good decision making and safe driving, not only during Prom weekend but all of the time! Thank you to Mrs. Reynolds, SMASH / SADD adviser, for all of her work with the students on this!
We have a lot of information and important dates to share with our Seniors and parents as we prepare for the Class of 2025’s graduation ceremony! Please click HERE to access!
Do you enjoy running or being outdoors in the open air? Do you want to be a part of a positive, uplifting, exciting team culture? Do you enjoy the thrill of a race through the woods, hills, an open grassy plain, and/or winding turns? Are you a basketball player looking for conditioning for next season?
Consider joining our Cross Country team this year! Junior high (grades 7-8) courses are 1.8-2 miles, while high school (grades 9-12) courses are 3.1 miles. For those who are new to running, don't worry if distance running for these races sounds difficult. We begin training light and appropriate to your individual level of conditioning, and eventually with enough practices these distances become achievable for all of our athletes. All you need is a pair of running shoes (which we can provide through fundraising initiatives) and a winning attitude! Sign ups have been emailed to students or you can find more information on our flyer!
State testing season is upon us! Please check out the dates to see when your child will be completing their state tests. Attendance is extremely important for these dates!
