💜 April is the Month of the Military Child
As an ODEW-designated Purple Star District, we take great pride in supporting the children of our military families. April is the Month of the Military Child, and throughout the month, we’ll be celebrating the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of our military-connected students and families. We also will be hosting a district-wide Military Spirit Week during the week of April 14th (see below for more info). Thank you for your service and commitment!

If your children clothes, shoes, or you need help with food, we are here to help. There's zero judgment--it takes a village to raise a child and we at Newton Falls Junior High and High School are part of your village. Please email rankinr@nfschools.org if you ever need additional support and we will utilize all our resources available to take care of our Tiger families!
During the month of April, we celebrate our military-connected families in the district. April is recognized as the Month of the Military Child in Ohio and nationwide, honoring the sacrifices and resilience of children in military families. Established by the U.S. Department of Defense in 1986, this month raises awareness of the unique challenges faced by over 1.6 million military children, including frequent relocations and parental deployments. Ohio schools participate by hosting events and programs that support and celebrate these students, with many earning the Purple Star designation for their commitment to military-connected families. Newton Falls was awarded the Purple Star designation starting with the 23-24 school year.
State testing season is upon us! Please check out the dates to see when your child will be completing their state tests. Attendance is extremely important for these dates!
