Google Slides have built-in templates, but they aren't all that useful (or fun) to use. Throughout this page, I will share and explain two different sites that have premade, ready to use templates that can be used in Google Slides.
This site has a free or a premium option - I only use the free options. There are a variety of topics you can choose from - including an "Education" option.
When you find a template you want to use, you just have to select the orange "Google Slides" button under "Download this template".
From there, a new window will pop up and you can choose to "Make a copy" of that template. Now, that template can be found in your Drive and you can use it as you please.
Cool Features: the slides include descriptions of what and how to use the different slides, there are extra icons you can use to customize the slides, the specific fonts and colors are also added to the slides.
*If you plan to use multiple templates, you will need to sign up or log in. That will allow you to download 10 different templates each month.
All of the templates on this site are free and do not require you to log in. Just like Slidesgo, this site has a ton of different topics you can choose from.
Again, you will want to find a template, but DO NOT click on the blue "Download" options that you will see as you scroll through the page. You MUST scroll down until you see the two yellow buttons at the bottom that give you the option to download with Powerpoint or open with Google Slides.
Cool Features: these slides are all created by other teachers, they offer many interactive slides activities, there is no need to log in

Canva is quite possibly my favorite tool to use, so I had to mention it. You can use it for anything!! However, for this tip, I'm focusing on using the different templates that it offers. It is almost just like Slidesgo with the slides templates, but the reason I didn't list it above is that it doesn't have a friendly way to use the templates on Google Slides. However, there is a way to present the slides in Canva and you can easily share those with others!
