I'm not sure if this is a Mac/Apple TV problem, or an issue all Chrome users have, but it is so frustrating when you try to show a video or a clip of something and only a black screen shows up on your board.
I recently found there is a simple way to fix this issue - and it's easier than downloading Firefox and using that to show what you need.
Follow the steps below to avoid getting the black screen the next time you need to show something on your board.
This is what happens on my computer when I try to use something like Netflix to show a video and am connected through Apple TV:
The video is "playing" but there is no picture or sound coming through my computer or on the board.
*I have experienced this happening through most streaming sources.*
Open Chrome, select Chrome at the very top of your page in the menu bar, click "Preferences"
2. Select "System" and from there you will want to turn the "Use hardware acceleration when available option" off. Once you do this, you will have to "relaunch" or restart your computer. The option to relaunch will show up right next to the slider that turns this on or off.
It's fixed!!
