Archiving Emails in Gmail

This tip is for all of those people who keep countless emails because they never know when they might need to go back and find that one specific email. (It's me...)

Today's tip shows how you can archive emails and how you can go through and find those emails too.

The reason I'm sharing this is because I think it's really helpful to clean up/organize your inbox on Gmail.

I personally have over 3,000 emails. Do I need all of them? Absolutely not. Would I benefit from archiving emails since, for some reason, I can't get myself to delete some? 100% yes.

Archiving emails is different than just sending them to a folder since those emails will still be visible in your inbox. Archiving them sends them to your archive and removes them from your inbox section.

Select the emails that you want to archive
Click on the square with the arrow pointing down that appears under the search bar once you have them selected

That's it!

To find your archived emails you just have to:

Search for any details of the email in the search bar
You can also click on the lines and sliders to do a more thorough search and input more parameters
