Using Original Gmail Settings

If you use the chat feature that Gmail has, you have most likely noticed the new update. I personally am not a huge fan of this update since I often times miss the notifications of the new chat until too late.

Recently, another staff memeber let me know that you can change your Gmail settings so you can go back to the original view in Gmail, and it was 100% worth it - in my opinion.

If the new chat is driving you crazy, follow the simple steps below to change it back.

Step 1: Go to your Gmail and click on the settings icon

Step 2: Click where it says, "Go back to the original view."

Step 3: (If you're feeling petty) add that you do not like the new format of chat and click "Reload"

Now you should be back to the good old original set up of chat! 😁
