Timers are used all the time in the classroom, and it's always beneficial to use visual timers. The only issue is that you need to take time each day to find those timers. If you want to avoid taking those precious few seconds to find a timer that you like, you will want to read below to see how you can create a folder in your bookmark menu to easily access the timers you typically use.
1. Depending on the type of computer you have, you will need to either control-click or right-click on the bookmark bar on your computer. When you do this, a menu option will show up (see the image below). Select "Add Folder..."
2. Title the new folder and click "Save." You should now see that folder in your bookmark menu at the top of your Chrome browser.
3. Go to YouTube and find videos that you want to use - be sure you preview the sounds that go on during the countdown and what the sound is when the time is up. (Some of the sounds can be a little aggressive!)
4. Once you've found a video you want, again, you will right-click or control-click on the Timer folder and select "Add Page..." when the menu pops up.
5. If you choose, you can rename the page, otherwise just select "Save."
6. Repeat this process as many times as you want to save as many timers as you choose, based on which timers you commonly use.
Click on the folder that you created.
Select the timer that you want to use based on the list you saved.
Project the timer, and you're done!
