Southwest's Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Tuesday, October 14 and Wednesday, October 15.
Tuesday, October 14 conferences are in person at Southwest from 4PM - 8PM.
All in-person conferences are first come first served.
Wednesday, October 15 conferences are virtual from 8AM - 3:30PM. Families can schedule conferences at Myconferencetime.com

Winter Sports Registration is now open. For girls, we offer basketball, nordic ski, alpine ski, hockey, dance and cheer. For boys, we offer basketball, wrestling, swimming, nordic ski, alpine ski, and hockey. We also offer adapted soccer at the district level for both boys and girls.

Registration Fees: for hockey is $240, and for all other sports is $75. ($25 for families registered for educational benefits- $80 for hockey.)
All athletes must have a sports physical on record from the last three years. Sports physicals are free at the Southwest Mini-Clinic: call 612-394-3278 if needed.
In-Person Winter Sports Information Night will be held at Southwest on Thursday, October 23rd in in the Southwest Commons from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Coaches will be available to help answer any questions you may have.

Exam registration season is upon us, and our amazing Southwest scholars have the opportunity to take any IB DP exam that they qualify for based on the class they are currently taking. As a reminder, all IB exams are paid for by MPS!! Please complete registration before 11/1- the sooner the better! There is also a link for the 3 AP exams we offer, but they do carry a $70 registration fee. A beautiful new Hackberry tree was planted this Friday near the north entrance to Southwest. Special thanks to the SWHS Garden Group who secured the tree from City Trees/Tree Trust. The tree was expertly planted by students from our Anchor Program and volunteers from the Garden Group with special help from Southwest building engineer Willie Gibson.
Community Education, with support of the Hennepin County Lifeguard Grant, is offering a Free Lifeguard Course.
