On Wednesday 2/26, the 43 class of 2025 IB Diploma candidates celebrated the completion of their Extended Essays, a 4000-word research paper on a topic of their choice. Christina Jensen, Theory of Knowledge and English teacher, led the students in the celebration by having students convert the physical copy of their Extended Essay into a wearable design. The students have spent many hours both researching and writing outside of the school day so taking time to celebrate and have a little fun before digitally submitting their essays to the International Baccalaureate. The Extended Essay is a required component of earning the IB Diploma. Students select a supervisor to meet with throughout the process, but the bulk of the work is done on their own time. HERE are the research questions they chose, which show the depth and breadth of critical and creative thinking that students undertake to complete the Extended Essay.
The Southwest Musical ANASTASIA runs March 13-16 and March 20-23.
